Check the brand and container before keeping or swapping a dumpling squishy. On September 3, 2026, the CPSC recalled about 8,000 GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings containing water beads.
The notice recorded no reported injuries.
Identify the recalled toy
It is a translucent round ball with a cartoon face, glitter-like particles and water beads inside. The tan plastic steamer-style container has a removable label reading “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME.”
The toy itself has no markings. Amazon sales ran from May through June 2026 for about $20.
The notice warns that swallowed water beads can expand inside a child's body, causing deadly ingestion, choking and intestinal-obstruction hazards.
Follow the recall remedy
The CPSC tells consumers to stop using the toy immediately and contact Chenyuanhui for a full refund. The remedy asks them to mark the toy and container “RECALLED,” discard the toy, and email a photo of the disposed toy to GIHNJSI_recall@163.com.
Follow recall notice 26-738 for the complete instructions.
This identifies a specific recalled product, the dumpling shape alone doesn't establish a match. Use the notice's photos alongside your packaging.
Don't pass a recalled toy on through a sale or swap. Clear brand and packaging photos, as described in our photography guide, help the next person identify what you're offering.
