Color change, slow rise and dents that stay: four squishy responses

Press a squishy and let go. Does the shape rise on its own, keep the dent, or change color where your hand was?

Those responses give you quite different things to do with the same simple movement.

Squeezy Shop's September 30, 2026 roundup described four examples from its new listings. The retailer says it had not tested them; the comparisons below follow the listings, with product details checked on October 11.

A mango that changes color

The Color-Changing Mango Squishy is described as shifting from green toward yellow-orange as its surface warms, including under a warm hand. At a listed 8 centimeters high and 70 grams, it's a smaller option than the pineapple below.

The appeal here is watching where the color develops as you hold it.

A kiwi you reshape

The Kiwi Slushie Squishy Ball is listed with a moldable fill that keeps a pressed dent until you work it back toward a ball. The dent stays, your hands get the work of rolling and reshaping it.

That may suit someone who enjoys kneading more than waiting for a toy to rise.

A watermelon with a gradual return

The Watermelon Squishy listing describes dense fluid-filled gel that can be squeezed and stretched, then slowly reshapes. Look for a demonstration that includes the release; the speed of that return is part of the experience.

A larger slow-rise pineapple

The Pineapple Squishy is listed as slow-rising foam with a raised rind, 20 centimeters high and 600 grams. It gives you more surface to press and texture to trace, but it also asks for more hand and storage space.

Color change gives you a visible response while holding the toy. Slow rise and gradual gel return give you something to watch after releasing it.

A moldable fill leaves the reshaping to you. The squishies explainer covers those differences in more detail.
